Instinctive, Sophie Ruel is a self-taught watercolor painter. Uninterested in the technique, she prefers to be driven by her intuition to develop her art. Painting in a raw and spontaneous manner with artistic gestures of her own, her work emanates pure authenticity.
Vibratory art | A vibrant energetic experience
Sophie’s inspiration is often propelled as a result of meditation. Her approach is fundamentally supported by a quest for well-being in each area of the human evolution.
Canadian watercolor artist
Born in Granby, now living in St-Georges-de-Beauce Québec, Sophie did her first exhibition in 2014 at the St-Georges Cultural Center. Her art gallery premiere was in 2016 and her first solo exhibition in 2017. Subsequently, Sophie received the recognition of her peers and several of her creations were included in private collections. In 2020, she became a professional member of the prestigious “Regroupement des artistes en arts visuels du Québec (RAAV)”.

Illustrator and author
She wants to play an active artist role in her community. This is why in 2018, she was the instigator of the artistic and literary project L’enfant au sac à dos. She is the author and she participates in the collective illustration of the book.

Since 2019, the SRuel signature uses an eco-design approach by delivering artwork on canvas made from recycled materials.
